3CX Loses License Activation

A client running 3CX version 10 mentioned that no one was seeing voicemail indicators or getting voicemail notifications via email. I recalled that these are “paid” version features. Sure enough, his license was no longer activated. After re-activating the license, voicemail notification started working again. But why did the license become unregistered?

I uninstalled 3CX Assistant 9 from a Windows 7 SP1 Professional machine a couple months ago. Suddenly this past weekend, the "3CXPSTAPI.tsp_unloaded" module started crashing TAPI (error at bottom of post), and whenever it crashed, it brought down the following services:

It all started with my new Magicjack. Plug this little gizmo into your PC and you get unlimited domestic calling, $40 for the first year and $20/year thereafter. That’s hard to pass up. But it also means that I now have three phone lines coming into the home office. So I either needed to get a bigger analog phone, or get into a PBX.
