Our general approach is to look for good values from market-leading vendors. In some cases, this has led us to standardize on products from a particular vendor. This does not mean that products from other vendors are unacceptable or inferior. Rather, it recognizes the value of gaining experience with products from a specific vendor—experience that translates into time saved by not reinventing the wheel for each customer.
One such vendor is Microsoft. No other company offers such a comprehensive line of business software, from server and desktop operating systems to word processing, presentation, and email programs. Is Microsoft perfect? No. But when issues arise, due to their huge installed base, chances are that someone has already experienced and solved the problem you are having. MCB Systems is a Microsoft Small Business Specialist, and Mark Berry, MCB’s principal, is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
